The Digital Services Act Week took place from 30 June – 3 July 2020, culminating in a keynote speech from Margrethe Vestager, Executive Vice President of the European Commission, as well as – in the words of the moderator and our chairman, Paul Adamson – “a mega panel”, bringing together themes from the rest of the series. 717 delegates from 36 countries registered to attend the series that also brought together 25 speakers from European institutions, businesses, academics and civil society.
The series assessed what is required to create conditions that foster fair competition for digital platforms and the media sector to thrive, and to safeguard an open and safe online space.
